OUR MISSION IS TURN TO THE FORMERLY DERELICT CALLIS MILL IN HEBDEN BRIDGE INTO A CREATIVE AND THRIVING COMMUNITY ARTS SPACE IN HEBDEN BRIDGE.
WE WANT TO RAISE ENOUGH FUNDS TO PUT A LIFT IN AND MAKE THE BUILDING FULLY ACCESSIBLE TO ENABLE PEOPLE WITH REDUCED MOBILITY TO ACCESS THE WORKSHOPS AND EVENTS.
We have the opportunity to move into Callis Mill in Hebden Bridge.
We want to turn it into a fully accessible creative arts space for rhythm, music and movement. It will be ready for us to fill with inspiring music and rhythm based workshops, art and love by late Spring.
It will be home to Drum Machine as well as our TWO NEW YOUTH BANDS, MICRO MACHINES and MICRO BRASS.
We will fill it with ART based activities for all.
We will run inspiring and create projects from the space
It will be a Covid Secure and fully accessible LIVE MUSIC VENUE AND A CINEMA.
We will seek funding for a lift to make it accessible for all.
We have sought advice that we are able to provide our workshops, even in Lockdown, to support groups of 15 who are within the exemption categories; e.g. people in drug and alcohol recovery, new parents and guardians, people with long-term illnesses, people facing issues relating to their sexuality or gender, and those who have suffered bereavement, and vulnerable young people.
We will seek funding for a LIFT so it is accessible for all.
We will have a cafe selling wholesome local produce.
We will provide jobs and voluntary positions to local people.
